Planetary Mӧbius Pendant

Richard Swanborg and Rebecca Combs

Inspired by the Greek system that described planetary motion for centuries, three smaller Mӧbius rings orbit a central sun Mӧbius all contained within the radiant ring of the cosmos.  No previous chain maille experience is required.   Sponsored by Design & Adorn.

More about Richard and Rebecca... They are on a mission to change the world through beading.  They remind students that “when we make something with our own hands, we tap into the creativity that has never left us. We are all of us makers and each of us deserves to feel the power of creation.”  Shortly after their wedding in 2008, they founded Design & Adorn Beading Studio to support Tucson’s community of jewelry makers.  Specializing in kumihimo, bead stitching and chain maille Design & Adorn offers a highly curated selection of materials and classes for all levels.

You can find Richard & Rebecca teaching at their own bead store,

bead & fiber stores around the country, on cruises, and at national &

international events such as the Bead & Button Show, The American

Kumihimo Society Gathering, and the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show.

Combined they have over 30 years of teaching experience.  Fascinated

by the intersection of math, engineering and art they focus on students

learning not just the “how” of a technique, but the “why” and challenging

students to expand on knowledge learned in class to create new designs.

Richard’s work has been published in Bead Style Magazine and Rebecca

is the author of two best-selling books, Kumihimo Basics & Beyond and

Kumihimo Jewelry Simplified.
